I’m pleased to tell you that my new novel Tell And You Die will be available from 15th June, 2023.
Tell And You Die, a crime mystery for young adults, is my fourth novel to be published with Authors Reach, which has been my writerly home for three years now.
Here’s a bit about the story:
A brother’s life cut short. A sister with secrets.
When disaster strikes for the second time, Rose finds herself in a dark, dangerous place, where she must question everything she thought she knew. But someone is watching her every move. How far will they go to keep their secrets hidden?
My new book is suitable for readers of thirteen and above, but could be enjoyed by adults of any age, particularly fans of Holly Jackson, Karen McManus and Sophie McKenzie. Like my previous novels, it’s set in my home county of Cornwall, UK, but this time I’ve drawn on the landscapes of ‘Clay Country’, in mid-Cornwall, where I grew up and have spent many years. These bleaker landscapes can look almost lunar – in fact Dr Who was once filmed in a clay pit near where I lived as a child, much to the excitement of the whole school! Settings are always important to me, and I feel that they can add so much to the mystery and atmosphere of a story.
Tell And You Die is up for pre-order from Amazon, and will also be available from bookshops or Authors Reach. I’ve been working on this book for a long time, at my usual snail’s pace, and am looking forward to finally having it out there in the world.
