I’ve recently been working on making one of my suspense stories available as a welcome gift for subscribers to my author newsletter. It’s been a bit of a learning curve, but now I’m all set up and raring to go. All I need are some new subscribers to try it out!
The name of the story – which comes in at just over 5000 words – is A Mother’s Pride.
Here’s a bit about it:
Pride can be deadly …
Shy student Ruth can’t believe her luck when she is befriended by smart, popular Laura Mortoe. Laura appears to have it all: brains, beauty, and parents who dote on her. Before long, however, Ruth glimpses her new friend’s darker side.
A Mother’s Pride is suitable for readers of any age from around thirteen upwards, and serves as an introduction to the type of stories and characters I write about. In order to receive it, simply sign up for my author newsletter, either via the pop-up form or my Keep in Touch page. Once your email has been confirmed, you’ll receive a welcome email from me with a link to the free story (if you can’t find it, be sure to check your spam). It can be read in all sorts of ways, depending on what you prefer.
I send out my newsletters around once a month, so you won’t be bombarded with mail (I appreciate how hard it is to keep up with our inboxes these days!). I usually keep them simple, with a bit about what’s going on in my life, plus of course any book news or special offers. I sometimes include the odd photo of beautiful places I’ve visited, mostly local to me in Cornwall, or a picture of my mini-muse, Lucy, who never fails to keep us entertained at home.
If you change your mind, you can unsubscribe at any time. And, of course, I won’t share or use your information in any other way.
I’d be thrilled to welcome you on board, and, if so, I hope you enjoy the story!
